    Description

    Nestled near the Brazos River, Cameron Park Zoo expands on over 52 acres near downtown Waco, Texas.

    As an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA), Cameron Park Zoo upholds exceptional standards for animal care and management. The animal care staff devotes a tremendous amount of time and energy toward providing the best of care, including training, proper nutrition, veterinary care, and life enrichment.

    With natural habitats and close-up encounters, the animal collection housed at Cameron Park Zoo includes more than 1,700 animals, representing 300 species. In August of 2009, Cameron Park Zoo opened the Asian Forest, featuring critically endangered Orangutans, Sumatran tigers, and Komodo Dragons.Cameron Park Zoo is open daily, excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.

    Group Information

    Plan Your Group Visit to Cameron Park Zoo
    Thank you for planning a trip to Cameron Park Zoo. To receive the group discount, one person will need to pay for the entire group upon arrival. Questions about field trips please call Ashlea at 254-750-8479 or email ashleao@wacotx.gov.

    Schedule a group trip 

    • You will receive a confirmation email after you have submitted the form.
    • When you arrive at the Zoo, one person will need to make their way to admissions to pay for the entire group, to receive the group discount.
    • Teachers and chaperones must pay admission.
    • Any adults that pay separately from the group will be charged regular admission.
    • Students can be unloaded in the front and once payment has been made, your group can make their way into the zoo.
    • Have bus drivers unload and then park in the bus parking, they may not remain at the front of the Zoo.
    • Outside food and drink is not allowed. You can bring lunches but will need to eat them outside of the Zoo.

    Groups of 15+: Adults (13+)- $14.00, Children 3-12 yrs.-$11.00, Children 2 & under free

    Groups can order a discounted lunch through the zoo. Please use the form to order lunch for your group ahead of time.

    Daytime Rentals
    Host your company party, birthday party, or other group gatherings with Cameron Park Zoo!

    Locations
    Pavilion by the hour- $600 per hour- includes admission for 10 people

    Pavilion full day rental- $5,000 for the day (9am-5pm)- includes admission for 100 people

    Tables & Chairs
    Table & Chair Combo- $30 per combo (1 table & 8 chairs)

    Catering
    Catering must be coordinated through Cameron Park Zoo. Catering packages available at $9.00 per person. Contact us at zadmissions@wacotx.gov for menu.

    Admission
    Admission tickets included with pavilion rentals. If more than the allotted number of tickets are needed, additional tickets available at group rate of $14.00 per adult 13+ and $11.00 per child 3-12 years old.

    Evening Rentals
    Looking to host a private event after the Zoo is closed to the public? Cameron Park Zoo can transform into a beautiful space for your wedding or wedding reception, anniversary party, or any other group gathering where you would like a more private experience.

    Locations
    Pavilion- $1,000 for the evening
    Treetops, Asian Forest, Saltwater Aquarium, and Freshwater Aquarium- $200 per hour
    Gibbon Deck, Lemur Deck, and other Zoo locations- $150 per hour

    Tables & Chairs
    60″ Round Tables- $7.50 each
    8 Ft Rectangle Tables- $7.00 each
    Cocktail Tables- $11.00 each
    White Resin Garden Chairs/White Metal Chairs- $1.75 each
    Additional equipment can be rented for an additional fee

    Staff
    Staff Person $25 per hour per staff person (1 staff per 50 guests, 2 staff member minimum. — Staff will set up, assist during the event, and clean up.)
    Security $50 per hour per officer with a 3 hr minimum (1 officer per 300 guests- 2 officers required if alcohol is served)

    Make Your Event Extra WILD! Add on the following services:
    Animals Out After Hours – $500 per section (African Savannah or Brazos River Country)
    Tiger Training Session- $300
    Tortoise Encounter (Photo Opportunity)- $300
    Pelican Feeding- $300
    Giraffe Feeding- $300

    Add-ons are subject to change or cancelled based on weather and daylight. Most are not available November-March.

    Alcohol
    Cameron Park Zoological & Botanical Society has a mixed beverage permit. Alcohol must be purchased through the Zoo and cannot leave the premises. Alcohol prices to be quoted upon request. Bar Fee of $150 will apply to cover the bartender and bar supplies.
